School Visits

Would your students enjoy meeting an author who's written for Scholastic, Disney, Sesame Street, Time for Kids, Learning A-Z, NASA, and more?

How about an author who's covered celebrities (like Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Selena Gomez), gaming (like Minecraft, esports, and Tyler "Ninja" Blevins), and many other fun topics?

I am that author - and I'd love to visit your school!

  • I’m happy to visit any grade level and can tailor a program depending on the age of the students. For example, with kindergarten students, I might read one of my books aloud and answer questions about it. With 5th grade students, I could focus more on my work as an author and the publishing process. Most of the books I write are on assignment, so it’s a bit like writing for school!

  • I can also tailor a program to match curriculum needs. For example, I often like to bring in books that have mass appeal (celebrity bios, Minecraft books, Disney quiz books, etc.). But I also have many books that teach school subjects in an interesting way. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you’re hoping I’ll bring in a book about science, history, math, or some other subject.

  • My starting rate is $475 for a short program (30-45 minutes). I can work with you if you’d like something outside that range.

"The class enjoyed it and especially loved how you wrote a book about Minecraft! We were so excited to see 5 of your books in our school library!" - Jill Ollari, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District

Workshops

Build Confidence, Be Visible, and Level Up Your Writing Life! (for adults)

  • Do you wish you had the guts to bring your written work to a live storytelling event?

  • Have you always wanted to perform your poetry at an open mic?

  • Do you want more opportunities to do what you love best—writing, publishing, teaching, and all kinds of related fun?

Writers know how to show up on paper. But in real life, we often shy away from the spotlight. Don't let stage fright force you into hiding. Let's work through it, so you can share your gifts!

This interactive workshop offers mindset shifts, baby steps, and practice to help any writer break out and be seen. It’s a great way to market yourself and level up your writing life!

Writing Out Loud (for kids)

What does writing have to do with performing? Plenty! Writers read their books at signing events. They talk about their books on podcasts. Some tell stories at live storytelling events or perform poetry at open mics. It's all about attracting readers and fans. Writers who share their work often get the most positive attention for it. That's true even for writers who are still students in school.

Plenty of writers have a problem though. They're shy. They have stage fright. They'd rather hide away and write than say anything out loud about their writing!

As a lifelong introvert, I know what it's like to both crave and fear the spotlight. That's why I've designed a workshop especially for writers who need help coming out of their shell. It's filled with low-risk, fun activities like writing exercises, performance games, and group discussions, all designed to help student writers get comfortable sharing their gifts!
