In 2021, I had a fun gig writing entertainment news for Looper. I was inspired by the celebrities I wrote about, which led me to read (and reread) funny memoirs by Mindy Kaling, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and the like. I started thinking, "I wish I could write a funny book about my own experiences." I kept thinking that until one day I realized the only person stopping me was... me. So I wrote the book!
